I hope I am posting this in the right area. I am hoping you all have some advice.
*Disclaimer* this is my own fault for not planning better. So here goes.
We booked a trip to Mexico (Iberostar) through a travel agent that I have booked our last 5 vacations through since 09 ( we go away once a year).
We booked late this year due to circumstances we couldn't control.
The travel agent uses Apple vacations and since we are now 45 days from departure full payment is due. We booked 3 weeks ago and I put down an deposit.
Now here is my issue, I blew through the rest of our Chase Sapphire Preferred miles and got the bright idea of opening up a Venture One card to pay for the trip, hit the 3k spend and replenish out miles for our next trip.
Approved no problem for the Venture One, BUT it is a 7-10 day lead time to get the card! They extended us 5 days (HUGE FIGHT) until 10.10 to make the payment.....7 -10 days is Wed 10.15.
I called Venture One and they said there is NO way to expedite the card.
So does anyone have any suggestions on a way to make this all fall into place or and I SOL?
I am going to cancel our Sapphire Card today, no idea if they will mile match?
