I tried to test AP with $1.99 on my discover card on 10-1-2014. I am signed up for the 5% promo this quarter. My statement closed 10-4-2014. I received 0 CashBack. I have always received .01 CashBack for a 1.99 purchase in the “everywhere else” category. I'm guessing it will be a few more days before there are any data points. Like you, anybody who did it already and had their statement close, is probably not going to see it on this statement.
