Quality Inn Downtown Inner Harbour, Victoria, BC

Well isn’t that a co-incidence – I’m reviewing the same hotel as the previous poster – my review has some similarities and some differences.

Good hotel but a little expensive - Expensive that is if you are paying for it. The Choice Hotels website listed my room at $189, with tax that would have been over $210 but the same room was available for 10.000 points and being as you can buy points from Choice for $11 per 1,000 (with no tax), just do the math! As for the hotel, it is pleasant enough, it’s not really in downtown Victoria but a 10 minute walk will get you in to the center. Breakfast is not included which is unusual for this chain but they will give you a 25% off coupon for the on-site restaurant (which I did not use). One small downside is that there are 2 steps to climb to get to reception and 3 steps to get to the elevator. Not a big issue for me but if you are carrying heavy luggage it’s something you could do without – many other hotels have managed to incorporate a ramp alongside any steps. I was only here for one night and I had no complaints, the staff were friendly, the room / bedding / bathroom were all satisfactory and the free wi-fi worked fine – so a bargain on points, but expensive if you are using real money.
