Luckily they kept pushing back my other flight so that I just made it. Had great seat mates, one knew people that I went to college with and the other had interesting insights into B2B marketing. Great cabin crews too.

For some reason I'm not getting itinerary changes emailed to me?? I find that pretty annoying. I have a 4 person reward itinerary in Dec and when they change gear and move our seats, I didn't get an email or anything. I just caught it checking our seats- and another SHARES dumb move. I only knew about the new itinerary on this flight because I could check the website and it had the new flights and a 'contact united' red text on it. My United app was even more confusing with the original boarding pass but under flight status tab it had my original and the new flights.

I looked for settings in my account and I don't see where you can turn on/off anything about itinerary changes- same day flight stuff, yes. Day of travel notifications- but nothing about itinerary changes. I can't believe that they don't send an email.
