Crazy re-booking due to potential misconnect
My flight to ORD is going to be late and it looks like I'll miss my connection to YUL, but who knows how late everything is. I checked my itinerary online it now has me going 5oct ORD-CLE then tomorrow CLE-EWR at 6am with at 43 minute layover to EWR-YUL.

THere are 10 direct ORD-YUL flights a day, there are two after my flight that it looks like I'll miss.
Who in the hell would give a re-route like that. I'm in a DEN-ORD flight now and I've received no emails about it either.
If this is how they treat 1Ks F-them.
Rush to my original flight to see if it there still, otherwise how to I fight this dumbass routing? Hit the United Club or call in?
I know the ATC issue is extraordinary and beyond their control, but really? ORD-YUL to ORD-CLE-sleep-CLE-EWR-YUL.
