Assuming that your number is accurate - the high proportion of veterans wouldn't have anything to do with the Veteran's Preference built into the law, would it? Would these vets have qualified for their TSA jobs in the absence of the preference points added to their score??
I'm a vet, too. In fact, there are a lot more vets than TSA screeners. Many millions more.
