Let me preface the question by saying I am one of the 6'+ folks for whom any extra legroom is appreciated.

Never flown Delta before and I am flying DTW-SFO on a 738 for which I believe official pitch is listed as 31 to 32" for Economy.

I think I read somewhere that the rows ahead of the exit rows (i.e. up to row 16) have a bit more legroom. Can anyone confirm this?

On a separate note, EC on this flight is quoted as $99. Seems like a royal ripoff IMO and higher than I've seen for similar preferred-style economy seating on any other intra-US/CAN flight.
