I often travel with 4 bags on long haul, so it probably saves me about £1,000 per year or more.

I have used the extra award availability in Y for my husband, and I really like the reservation assurance. I have never used the reservation assurance but it gives me the peace of mind that if I need to rush back and there is no availability, I can always get a seat.

In addition, Gold Priority Reward can be really good when you know you want yo go somewhere 30 days or more in advance and you cannot bring yourself to paying the cash for the flights.
