It's almost 24 years old. The plane did look pretty "beat up" on the inside.

The flight on the way there was in this plane:

Although it was almost as old as the first one, it looked in much better shape.

I guess I know which one of the two will be part of the first to be transferred to ACr...

On Aug 7, I flew AC 789 to LAX. It was an ancient (my words) 763. It looked like it had been run over - on the inside. The bins were the old style and my smaller-than-regulation carry-on did not even fit. I won't even tell you about the lavs in the back except to say they were not in working order.

Before we left the gate, I sent a message to a friend telling him I was sure this thing was 25 years old.

He wrote back "wow, what a guess". It was 24.5 yrs, originally owned by CP/Canadian, then Varig for 9 years, then to AC.

Serious ugh.
