We recently flew 2 separate itins on UA as non-UA *S. Now, the official UA page for *A benefits states Silver only gets priority standby and priority waitlisting. However, both times we received additional benefits.

On IND-IAH-LAX, I received priority bag handling, zone 2 boarding, and a free checked bag to my final destination of SIN (separate ticket). The latter I'm not sure if it was due to my *S status, the fact my connecting itin was in J (again, on a separate ticket), or if the agent was just being nice. But nonetheless I did receive these benefits.

on SIN-HKG today, there was a priority check-in line for *G and *S.. By this time I had achieved *G, but DH is *S and received Zone 2 boarding again.

Personally, the benefits I care about the most with *G are lounge access, priority boarding and priority check-in. 2/3 were experienced as *S. Is that normal or did I get lucky?
