for example, last month a friend of mine was traveling ex-EU. BA rebooked him as his flight was full to a later flight resulting in his arrival at destination beyond 5hours of the scheduled arrival. To add to that, there is a connection in the US on the same ticket. Though he was booked in C, the connection in US was booked in Y and it was 1100 miles or about 1700km journey in Y. So would he be able to claim downgrade and delay or either one?
