This is my first post, so I'm hoping this isn't a daft question....

I have got 60,000 Virgin Flying Club miles but now have a job that requires regular flights from London to Singapore using Singapore Airlines. I understand that I can choose to earn either KrisFlyer or Virgin Flying Club miles when I travel with Singapore Airlines. However, if I earn Kris Flyer then I will be able to use their lounges once I reach the required level, so that is my intention.

This will result in a situation soon where I will have a number of both Virgin and KrisFlyer miles. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to redeem both of these points together when booking a flight with either Singapore Airlines or Virgin Atlantic or do they only accept their respective points?
