We've stayed at the metropole,in a junior suite,I'd highly recommend it.The bathroom iirc was nearly the size of a small room.
Easy walking distance to the area around cafe de Paris,the casino and that square,but a very hilly walk to the harbour/beach.
Yoshi is a fantastic in house Asian restaurant there too as is obviously the other international cuisine restaurant both by Joel Robuchon.
