I alerted a mod to move this to the Southwest forum as you'll get more pertinent responses.

There's really not much difference with the exception of exit row and bulkhead (first row). There's a row around row 8 that doesn't have a window, so avoid that one (at least I believe that's the -700 that has the missing window).

If you've never flown on Southwest before, remember there is no assigned seating, so just board and find your favorite seat that doesn't already have someone sitting in it.

If you're concerned about seeing outside, then obviously avoid sitting over the wing. Also, the front of the airplane tapers slightly in front of row 5, so it's a tiny bit narrower. Only a couple inches, so not much.

Really, the only rows I avoid are the missing window row, the row immediately in front of the exit row (because the seats don't recline), and the very last row.
