The Amex voucher is AMEX property and BA can't change the validity date. You agreed to the refund. BA god rid of that problem. Cant see them helping at all from here if I trust my experience with them but you may have better luck
I've had the date extended by BA on my already issued Amex voucher when I had to cancel a booking due to an emergency. I've also had a voucher removed and re-added later. That was managed by Amex.
