As long as you both got upgraded, all three of you would certainly have ended up sitting side by side. So I don't think you'd disturb. I'm not bothered by kids up front but then I have a couple of my own. But when I first upgraded with my toddler I had to work to convince her that it really mattered, as the seats were already big for her, even in back. I think it was the glass salt/pepper shakers (do they even have those any more?) that made it special for her. For my older child, what made it special was any food service at all
