Do newer UA E75's have a longer range than the ones AC has? Curious how UA can do those routes with an E75 but AC apparently can't. I've always been hoping that AC would eventually switch out the CRA on the YYC-IAH to something a bit more comfortable like an E75/E90, as I find a 4 hour flight in a CRA isn't particularly enjoyable.
UA has put the E75 onto YYC/YEG-IAH on trial basis. However looking into the winter schedules, by February 2015 the E75 is off the routes, replaced by 739 three times per day. Previous was 4 times per day with 1-2 Embraers.
My opinion on the UA schedule change is they have decided the E75 is not up to the range for this route.
