Giving up an UG--twice, as a courtesy to other FC pax
Was traveling by myself with two of the kiddos (toddler and lap-child infant). Both toddler and I received UGs during our UG window, and I called to give them back. Then after checking in, noticed I was still on the WL (at #1), and had to call again.

The rep asked why I was declining the UGs. I told her that, inter alia, I did not want to disturb the other FC pax. She told me that she would have done the same. I happened to speak with a FA who told me (that on a 5+hr flight), I should have sat up front.

SO, I am curious--in that situation with a lap child, what would others with children would have done?
