I would take what you get confirmed right now! LH via MUC. For my opinion, both F-cl are more or less on the same level.

Please also mind that LX8 will arrive at 15:55 in ORD, so it's only leaving you 5 minutes of time reserve to your set arrival time... You would be on the safer side if you take LH on the day before .
