I was on the 747 between FRA and SFO last month, in Y, and it was nice to have access to some content: entertainment on this equipment has been dismal for years.
WiFi worked fine for me (iPhone) but, as reported by other posters, the movies were not recent enough: most of the "new releases" played on the 747 big screen in May...
