I was FINALLY on a flight last night that offered the new streaming content. First of all, it took half the flight for both me and my seat mate to get connected to the wifi (the unpaid portion). I had an ipad and he had a laptop. Both of us had problems with the streaming with frequent pauses in the programming. I noticed he had some other tasks running, but I did not. We both gave up after a while.

I know others have posted some positive reports, but my first experience wasn't very encouraging. I hope UA figures this out. It needs to work consistently well, so UA can tout this as a benefit. If not, it just looks like a sloppy, feeble attempt to provide cheap IFE.
