This morning , my wife(companion pass) and I and with my 17 months old son had a flight at 7:00 am from DAL to ATL with stop at HOU.We were supposed to arrive at 11:30 am. We were at gate around 6:30 and they just started to board group A. As soon as, we arrived at gate because we had stroller and car seat and I needed to get them checked at the gate, I gave my wife their boarding passes and told my wife to get on the plane and I will go and check the stroller and then come back. After I went to check the stroller there were more than 8 persons in the line and while I was in the line I heard that it was announced several times that this flight is oversold and asked if someone is volunteer to go with next flight with 200$ compensation and I saw that several peoples accepted that. I was about 30 minutes in the line to gate check the stroller and after I could check that finally and when I went to board to plane I saw that they took my wife and son out of plane and told me that this plane is full because my wife was CP and I had not boarded yet. I told them that we have ticket and my wife was already on the plane and I was more than 30 minutes in line for stroller but I was told that this plane is full and we have to get a seat for you on next available flight. After 30 minutes of talking and complaining with different supervisors, they told me that the next available flight will depart at 2:00 pm with 2 hours connection in MSY and will arrive 8:00 pm in Atlanta.
The also gave each of us $1300 voucher as a compensation with 1 year expiration.
I have two questions:
1- Is there anyway that I can complain to southwest about this and do you recommend doing that?
2- Since I have a lot of points and also companion pass, is it possible to sell the southwest voucher with discount and if yes where and how?
