As far as I understand, they are in cost-cutting mode. If they can save money on closing offices that's alright with me.

Online functionality has actually improved. Not perfect yet, but e.g. the new(ish?) online missing mileage form works great! Scan and submit. I even had an old almost unreadable TG stub which I scanned, played around with contrast/brightness settings, sent in with crossed fingers - miles posted within 48 h.
