The less than 24hr layover is irrelevant

So to do it you would need two awards Nth Am to Asia2 followed by Asia2 to Asia1 - see the chart here
So just to clarify, LAX-HKG-PEK would then be a valid routing(for 67.5k) since HKG and PEK are both in the same zone?
