Today, I went and I couldn't buy 500 anymore. Cashier said that she got orders from the manager to not sell me on CC anymore.
The manager was there, and naturally I went to talk to him. He had this grim on his face, as if he had figured out what it is I do, and wanted me to know that he knew what I do. He proceeded to tell me that what I was doing was FRAUD, because my credit cards are not charging me a CA, and that I'm buying cash. I told him that what I buy is definitely not cash (apparently he doesn't know the difference between a VISA gift card, and hard cash). Plus, he doesn't work for a credit card company. If credit card companies choose to consider my purchase as a CA, it is their call, not his. I'm just doing a purchase, and that is not fraud. I'm not using somebody else's credit card. I'm using my own.
I tried to argue that the WAG policy is to allow a client to buy 500/day on CC for OneVanilla and for store branded gift cards. He argued that it was CASH for all gift cards. He decided to go print the actual policy, and brought it to me. That was decent of him. I thought I would win the argument since the paper is very clear that only RELOADABLE gift cards are cash only. When he brought the policy, I pointed that out to him. He choose to ignore that fact, saying that all of them are CASH.
He said he needed my personal info. I said that I was willing to give him my info if he allowed me to buy 500/day from now. He said he was just going to sell me one 500, just so he could take my info! I said I wasn't under no obligation to report my information to him, and left.
Gotta love some of this Nazi managers, throwing big words at you like FRAUD, without having an iota of a clue as to what that means. I could see that his motive was more about jealousy, and less about protecting his store interests. It didn't help that I called him an ignorant, but guess what, he is an ignorant. Oh well, this is part of the hobby, dealing with Nazi managers.
