I recommend you go to Dodger Stadium instead. I don't think you'd see much play at LAX.

The nearest Starwood hotels to the stadium are the Westin Bonaventure and the Sheraton downtown, neither of which are particularly close to any beach. The airport hotels, as well as the LM Santa Monica, are much closer to the beaches, but quite distant from the stadium. I suggest you check out a map and decide where you want to be. The Los Angeles Basin is big, and you can't be close to everything.
