i know someone who chose to defer paying off college loans for several years while working in a job that qualified under the '10 years then wipe out loans'

so instead of being that much closer to it being wiped out, they simply delayed

there was an ivy league class on 'loitering' IIRC, under art or social sciences

there are OMNI / OMNIPR threads on many of these issues
