Ignoring your hyperbole, what everyone seems to forget is that no one is MAKING you sign a contract. If you don't like the contract, simply don't sign it.

Presumably we're all adults* who understand enough to read the contract before, or are prepared to accept the consequences of blindly signing one.

(*this, of course, is a huge presumption, if just based on this thread)
