I had a Dubai Connect in September when going to Auckland. We got transported to Le Meridien 5 mins from the airport. IMHO I would rather stay at the airport hotel (inside the terminal) or lounge next time.
The hotel was very dated, and when the neighbour/above turned on the water, pipes were screaming so loud that you could forget about sleeping. The walls were so thin that you could hear people breathing outside your hotel door
