My Citibank CC gets me free massages at a beauty place, but it closes by around 7pm and I rarely have a departure before then, can never use the privilege.
Last week arrived at a new time of day for me at HKG, 5:30am. Buses on required route not running till after 7am (no night bus either), and coffee shops not open till 7am so no chance of a caffeine boost. Sat there for an hour and a half like a lemon till bus service started.
Not major issues in an efficient airport I otherwise like, but I do wonder about the lack of amenities "out of hours". Maybe the J passengers are catered for in lounges and this is just a Y problem.
The train starts at 6 am while you would still be in the terminal if you landed at 0530
What's wrong with that ?
Which bus did you want, to where ?

The fact is the airport is mega underused after 0100 hrs due to its location/noise Tung Chung housing
- so they want to build a third runway that will cost us taxpayers HKD 200 billion+
