I just learned this in Japanese class yesterday.

Generally speaking, anything that comes out of a machine is a receipt and anything that is written is a ryōshū-sho.

Taxi's is a receipt. If you ask for a ryōshū-sho you will get that hand written document with stamp on it.

So just say, "receipt please" in a pseudo Japanese accent, and you should be fine.
