I would do DFW-HKG-BKK for sure. Your flight gets in around 18:05. Barring there isn't any delay, you could go on either the 20:00 flight, 21:50 flight, and 22:00 flight, depending on the day. On average, you have 3 options, and that's not including the days that RJ operates a HKG-BKK flight. Heck, you might even be able to do it on UL too.
Connecting in NRT, you have one chance. If you don't make it, you spend a night in Narita.
