Hello
brunos,
I am sorry, I certainly didn't mean to say that I prefer A3 C to AF C. I only meant that I could not justify today, whether for professional or personal purposes, a 2K€ fare in C to ATH. 1K€ is achievable, starting from a corporate fare in Y, upgraded at a personal cost, for example.
To me, the major benefit of C (on AF and A3), besides the chance to sit in the front row, is that the middle seat is blocked, while it is not in W. It is a huge difference, especially for some 3 hours.
I have been lucky enough to have more free middle seats with the joint Premium cabin than in the earlier version with Tempo Challenge. And as I always choose an aisle seat, I am not bothered that much by someone seating in the middle seat. The main difference for me on these flights is whether I can get seat 2D, on planes where there is no seat in front of me, otherwise, I don't feel that much difference.
For me, the onboard service is the major benefit, as I usually don't have the time for a decent meal at my point of departure, especially on an evening flight that lands at CDG at 9PM and requires an additional hour and a half to get home. But of course, YMMV and preferences can be very personal.
