AA tried ORD-DAL twice in the past, iirc. First time was in response to Legend, using F100 with 56 seats. The last time was around the time of the 2008 financial crisis.

IMO if UA were astute with the situation, they would have jumped on ORD/EWR-DAL now with E170/175, instead of retreading with IAH.
