24 hour cancellation policy if you've changed your flight.
I recently booked a non-refundable flight. A few hours later my meeting was moved up a day so I called Alaska and had my flight changed. Then a few hours later it was cancelled altogether.
When I called Alaska they claimed even though it was well within 24 hours that they would not give a full refund for the ticket. The agent stated their policy was either one change or cancellation within 24 hours. Since my flight was changed I had a new ticket that the DOT rule didn't apply to. I couldn't find anything in the DOT rules that indicated this, only that tickets must be fully refundable within 24 hours. Which is right?
