I just received an email today, on 9/30, for double points on flights booked and flown between 9/18 and 11/20. I went ahead and registered. I have some flights coming up in October that I booked on 9/18. I can't tell if I will get the double points for them or not. Here are the terms...
Only the Rapid Rewards Member (XXXXXXXXXX, Rapid Rewards #XXXXXXXXXXX) who received this e-mail/offer from Southwest Airlines® is eligible for this promotion. Offer is nontransferrable. Member must register for this promotion between September 18, 2014 and November 20, 2014, and registration must be completed prior to commencement of travel. Valid on new reservations booked within the promotional time period. Member's flight must be booked through Southwest Airlines between September 18, 2014 and November 20, 2014. Member's flight must be completed between September 18, 2014 and November 20, 2014. A qualifying flight for Rapid Rewards is a one-way flight booked through Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city, including any intermediate stops and/or connections.
So, the way I read it, I should qualify:
- I registered during the promotion period.
- I registered before my travel commenced.
- The travel is on a new reservation booked during the promotion period (on 9/18).
- My travel occurs and is completed during the promotional period.
My concern is that I booked the flight before I registered for the promotion. Of course, had I gotten the email when the promotional period started on 9/18, I would have registered before booking the flight. Does anyone know whether I will get the promotional points given that I booked before registering?
