The GW should be much cheaper than that. Even though its date with the wrecking ball is drawing ever closer (on borrowed time by now, actually), the renovated rooms are pretty nice, and the location is solid. It's also possible to get both the Westin Chaoyang and the St. Regis for less than Y1000. I'm not familiar with the Sheraton Dongcheng's rates because I would never stay there, but I'd have to assume that it is priced quite a bit below the Westin Chaoyang and St. Regis because N 3rd Ring is nowhere near as desirable as E, NE 3rd Ring.
