Wow, I've never heard someone complain about at room being too cold, it's usually like an oven in most rooms I get and you have to override the thermostat or complain to the front desk to resolve it. Then again, I've never been to India. In any event, I can't stand the heat, maybe it's my Canadian ways, sorry.

Freezing settings hotels are the best!
As for the main topic posted, windows that open are great and I love some fresh air instead of the stale deodorized air of many hotels, but they (windows that open) seem to be a ''disappearing breed''. However, I hate spiders and bugs in general when they come inside, but that's a can of worm that I won't open now. Eww!
