This appears in the BA information today 29th Sep 2014. I thought that sometime last year the extra baggage allowance was restricted to just the actual card holder and not extended to passengers on same booking.

Secondly there is I believe now confusion with One World. On the One World site it seems to say that the extra bag is now only offered to Emerald One World and not to Sapphire.
You do know, don't you, that you don't have to press return when you get to the right hand end of the text entry box? You can carry on typing and there will be an automatic word wrap.

I think you may have misread the baggage information page.

The BA allowance of one additional bag to Silvers/Sapphires is given to the cardholder and anyone travelling on the same booking. But this is limited to economy.

The oneworld benefit for Emeralds is one additional bag on top of the allowance. In economy, this means that in practice Emeralds have the same as Sapphires (who also have the BA allowance of one additional bag). In other cabins, Emeralds get one more bag than everyone else. BA extends this benefit to anyone travelling on the same booking (but I'm not sure whether that is actually part of the oneworld benefit).

The benefit that's now restricted to the cardholder is the waiver of the heavy bag charge.

This is all now shown in graphical form in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...age-guide.html
