I couldn't find an official thread for this hotel, so if this needs to be moved feel free.
This will be short and sweet as I was only there for one night.
This is basically THEHotel with a remodel and brand dilution of the awesome Delano in Miami. They did their best to recreate the lobby - white drapes, same smell that almost comes close.
The MLife/Hyatt Diamond check in line is not obvious. I checked in at the regular desk. No acknowledgment of my status with either program. No room upgrade even though better rooms were available per the website. Late check out was given - 12pm instead of 11am. Woo-hoo (insert sarcastic emoji here)
The standard King room was nice. Comfortable couch, nice TV setup with programming guide. The robes in the bathroom were super nice and soft. The slippers were mismatched. One pair said Delano, the other said THE Hotel at Mandalay. The Malin and Goetz products are very nice. The water pressure in the shower was non existent.
Now, the bed. The bed itself was fine...but the F&$%ING pillows are some of the hardest, most uncomfortable pillows I have ever experience. They all ended up on the floor. I mock people in airports who travel with their home pillow, but if you need a pillow to sleep, you better bring your own if you're staying here. Either that or stop by a Target and get one. They 100% suck. Whoever thought those were good pillows should be demoted.
The mini bar was locked electronically and couldn't be opened. I would not recommend staying here until they address some of these things.
Anyways, here's a few pics. They aren't that great, but whatever.
