I generally find that those coupons are easier to use on European flights, if there are even seats to upgrade available. There are many times that business class would be full. Being a D+, they are generally ok when trying to find seats for me, but it does take a lot of talking. So, I am sad to see the coupons gone, as I was able to use all of mine over the years.
