All activity before 24/11/2013 will be expired. For example, if you are already Gold, and have exactly 24000 tier miles gathered from 24/11/2013, or if you have gathered exactly 12000 tier miles and flown at least 2 flights on A3/OA, all of those tier miles will be consumed respectively for requalifying you for Gold in November 2014. If you have gathered more tier miles as described respectively in those two example scenarios, those surplus tier miles will roll over to next year, and count towards your requalification in November 2015. If you are already Gold, and have gathered less than 24000 tier miles (or no tier miles at all even) from 24/11/2013, you will still be requalified as Gold, which is a nice touch by A3.

Your new qualification period will thus be from the 24/11/2014 (for everyone I suppose). Your previous qualification period (dec.-dec.) will be invalid after 24/11/2014. Your Gold qualification point in April 2014 will have nothing to say in this matter.

For the presently non-Golds, it will be important to acquire Gold status before 24/11/2014. Requalification for Gold next year is relatively easy (even easier if you have enough tier miles to roll over some of them to next year), but it becomes a lot harder to obtain Gold after 24/11/2014, especially for people that don't fly A3 or OA, which I would think is much of the idea A3 built this new programme on.

I have no problem with A3 changing their program however I have a major problem with them making these changes retroactively. I could credit 24k miles next year to them but won't as I simply don't trust that they won't make more changes in the future. I'm baffled as to why they don't let everyone just run their status off under the old rules and apply the new rules going forward like every other airline does.
Cheers
