2) How many gift shipments are normally sent? IE is it just one shipment that adds up to $50? Or is it multiple shipments and each adds up to $50?

It can be one shipment or multiple. Some will have items shipped directly from merchants, others will ship the presents themselves. I've done both, and had Santas do both. If you send multiple shipments, it is helpful to indicate to your recipient that you are sending multiple shipments, so they know to expect other shipments. It also helps if you find some way to identify that they are all from one person, as some participants have more than one Santa.
