Based on what i was told on a day where we were circling around BOS for about 90 min and nearly diverted. I was worried about what would happen if i took to long to get back up, i was assured AS crew can and will go beyond duty time if necessary. As mentioned above FAA guidelines cannot be waived in any circumstances
