Ok, total noob here when it comes to booking hotel rewards (I only book Delta but know little about booking hotel rewards). My wife has about 60k Marriott. Points. We were looking to stay 1-2 nights at a Rizt Carlton for a weekend..Boston, Philly, or Montreal sometime in October/Nov. Also myabe using her onew free night cert at a Marriott that expires soon.

However no matter the the weekend I check for the Ritz's it says "no point redemption rooms available during these dates" Is this because they "block" you from booking at a Ritz like say Delta blocks you from booking partner airlines??
