IAD Outsourcing of Ground Staff Delaying Flights
As many of you are aware the IAD UEX (and possibly UA??) ground contract is changing over in November. I'm currently stuck in IAD on the way back from the UK as ground staff is operating at 50% capacity as many people are quitting in advance of the changeover.
To top it all off - the rookies (well at least the ones that hadn't quit already) pushing our plane back today managed to puncture the tire - so sitting here wondering when we will go - if at all - as they have to change the tire and who knows how long that will take....
I'm all for efficiency and saving money - but adding everything up with UA lately really makes it seem penny wise and pound foolish...
Does anyone know who the new contract winner is - and if I should avoid IAD until next year?
