When we checked the bags the agent said they may not make the flight and if not, they'd be on the next flight.
I'm in the air now and tracked the bags. Four of them made the flight and one is on the later flight.
How do you think that happened?
BTW, I have no complaints about being late and the bags missing the flight. Just curious how it was just one that missed it.
It can happen even if it's not "late". Three weeks ago my wife and I each checked the same model luggage a good 30 minutes before the "cutoff".
One piece made the flight, but the other one didn't. They put it on another route and it came in a short while later. The biggest concern was that they didn't notify us, but the Delta app showed what flight it was on.
