Since the other view is currently sold out or not available, I think the best course is likely some compensation in the form of points especially since the OP has a confirmation with the room and view he booked. It can be easily demonstrated that many vacationclub properties rent rooms with different views, and usually charge a different rate or points for them. For example, Surf Club Aruba, several in Hawaii, Ocean Pointe Florida etc.

I am curious as to which property this is as well. Normally a better view costs more, but I too have seen some better views offered for the same rate.
