When I used DL.com (even with flexible dates checked) I had a hard time getting the best fare combos.

I think any sub $3k BE fare to Europe is a pretty good deal. $2k just seems like a great deal and those fares were not just a couple of days. I found them for most of June/July, March/April.
The JFK-MAD flights, at least, come up readily when inputting regular dates on DL.com. I don't think this is an error fare, as it's still a pretty high fare with low taxes. The taxes only amount to about $100 -- might that be a mistake?
