The problems surfacing seemed associated with its ultra thinness vis-a-vis overall size. Besides, maybe the aluminum shell needed stronger alloy metals to reinforce it - and/or - a strong & rigid protective case as a "backboard" ... that defeat the idea of being the thinness product in their ecosystem http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-29331349
